Anime Expo 2016

Gaymer Base Covers Anime Expo

Gaymer Base covered Anime Expo 2016 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We saw a lot of cosplay, anime, video games, and hot guys!

Anime expo is the largest manga convention in North America at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Special thanks to Spongebob & Patrick, the Wii Peaches, Genderbent Vi, and to all the cosplayers who we got to interview and take photos of.

Anime Expo 2016 had over 100,000 attendees during the Independence Day weekend.

Some of the biggest highlights were performances by TJ TeddyLoid, and Dempagumi performing the newly released “Phantom of the Kill.”

Sword Art Online The Movie – Ordinal Scale was unveiled. Haruka Tomatsu and Ayahi Takagaki made an appearance. The film will be released in theaters Spring 2017.

There were also tons of games to play like Hero Warz at Gumi’s booth and they were even letting you test out Phantom of the Kill’s Shout Zero VR.

What’s great about Anime Expo are the amazing backdrops that they had for all the cosplayers and fans to take pictures of during the event.

There were open auditions for voice acting roles fans could sign up for taking fandom.

It’s no wonder Anime Expo has grown more than 10% over the previous year. We’d like to thank all the cosplayers, the 1,500 volunteers to helped run the event, and all the guests and fans.

The event is scheduled for July 1 – July 4, 2017.
