Loot Crate Review

Gaymer Base Reviews: Loot Crate

Looking for the perfect gift for any gaymer? Or want to treat yourself to something special?

Then look no further!

After walking by their booth at Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, we finally decided we’d try out Loot Crate ourselves! We’re going to be looking at the good, the bad, and the giving you the final verdict on whether or not we would approve this gift for Gaymers.

Loot Crate Box

Loot Crate delivers unique boxes to your door every month with exclusive figures, apparel, and collectibles, hardcore gamers would love. They have recently shifted to have only exclusive models, which means you can’t get these items anywhere else but Loot Crate. So whether you’re a collector or just love games you don’t want to miss out on another month.

Still not sold?

Each crate can be customized to fit the needs of each gamer to make sure every month you get the things you want!

They’ve partnered up with Marvel, DC, Nintendo, Star Wars, and Pop to deliver only the best loot worth over $50 retail value for only $13.95 a month plus shipping and handling.

There are some alternative gift crates you could buy instead of Loot Crate.

Retro Gamer Crate, which is part of Man Crates, has a Retro-Bit NES Console, 2 classic Nintendo games and a bunch of candy to fit any sweet tooth gamer. It comes with Red Vines, Bottle Caps, Mike & Ike, Nerds, Now & Later, Jaw Busters, Pop Rocks, and even Pez. Of course, it’s a bit more expensive hitting your wallet at $99 plus shipping and handling.

Gamer Crates is another monthly subscription based plan. Starting at $19.99 it comes with 6-8 items in every box and has exclusive T-Shirts and even some downloadable content. But they don’t have as many partnerships at Lootcrate to have exclusive items in every box.

Gorilla Gamer is another customizable crate with a monthly subscription. You can choose which Gamer Crate you want based on your console (PS4, Xbox, or Xbox One) and be sent a variety of toys, game controllers, and apparel for $39.99.

The Pros

  • Exclusive and collectible products
  • Cheaper than buying individual items at the retail values
  • Customizable crates
  • Delivered to you monthly is different
  • One of the cheaper crate boxes

The Cons

  • Can’t choose what’s in the box
  • Pay shipping and handling

Is the product worth buying?

Our final opinion is hell yes. The fact that they have such exclusive items and the partnerships with Adventure Time, DC, Marvel, Nintendo, Fallout, Bioshock, Star Wars, Star Trek, Pop Vinyl, The Legend of Zelda, World of Warcraft and Halo should be reason enough to at least get one box. We were pleasantly surprised with the toys that we got inside.
