Get ready for some walking, because with Pokemon Go, you have to get up off our couch and move from place to place to find different Pokemon.

Wait for smaller circles to throw your Pokeball.
To maximize the chances of catching a Pokemon look at the size and color of the moving circle.
Depending on the color the Pokemon can be green – weak, yellow – medium, red is strong.
Waiting for the circles to shrink will increase your chance of catching stronger Pokemon.
Incubate Your Pokemon Eggs
Hatch Pokemon eggs by walking or running.
For eggs that you find at Pokestops to hatch you need to place them into an incubator and do some more walking.
You need to be walking or running, and the incubator won’t count if you’re driving.
Know Where To Find Pokemon
The paw prints indicate how far away a certain Pokemon is to you.
The fewer paw prints, the closer they are. Be on the lookout for rustling leaves on the map which indicate where a Pokemon might be hiding.
National monuments give better items.
Common spots like bus stops or post offices will give you Pokeballs, but going to monuments, sculptures, and national landmarks can give out unique items like revives or potions more frequently.
Finding Pokemon Types
Go to where you would expect different Pokemon types to find them.
Grass and bug Pokemon can be found near parks but head towards lakes, oceans, or rivers to find water types.
A ghastly will only appear at night so going out during certain times of the day will give you better chances of finding different pokemon.
Lures to Attract Wild Pokemon
Use Lure Modules and Incense to attract different Pokemon.
Lure Modules can be used at Pokestops to draw out wild Pokemon. You can also use an Incense to lure out more Pokemon as you walk around.
Turn Off AR Function
You need to keep a Pokemon in view as long as possible. Otherwise they may run away.
Turning off AR mode allows you to view and control them more easily.
Turn On Battery Saver
Fully utilize Pokemon Go’s Battery Saver function.
Pokemon Go only works while its active on the screen. Turning your phone upside down will make it turn into the Pokemon logo to consume less battery but still count your steps and vibrate when a Pokemon is near.
