Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite trailer was released featuring Mega-Man, Ryu, Iron Man and Captain Marvel.
With the release date set for 2017, there are quite a few changes with the gameplay. The upcoming game will not longer be featuring the traditional 3v3 gameplay and will only have 2v2 battle system.
Another thing that has fans worried is the battle for mutantkind. This could mean the departure of X-Men fan favorite: Wolverine who has been in every single Marvel/Capcom related game since 1995 in X-Men: Children of the Atom. This could mean that Marvel is continuing to gut out any X-Men references and purging the world of mutants and getting rid of Magneto, Storm, X-23 and the Sentinel. You could even be saying goodbye to Deadpool as well because of the movie rights problem Disney/Marvel has against 20th Century Fox.
That Capcom’s license with Marvel expired back in 2013, and they were forced to pull any and all Capcom/Marvel games from all digital stores.
The game’s title: Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite will be pulling the Marvel Universe’s Infinity Stones. According to Playstations blog it will incorporate the stones:
Infinite Power: Pulled from classic Marvel lore, unique and game-changing Infinity Stones can be implemented into players’ strategies as a way to influence the outcome of battle. Each Infinity Stone provides a unique advantage to the player and represents a different aspect of the universe: power, space, time, reality, soul, and mind.
